The Lead Material Coordinator is responsible for managing all logistics and material handling activities, ensuring efficient coordination of personnel, equipment, and inventory. This position oversees daily operations within warehouse and facility environments while ensuring compliance with safety, security, and federal standards.
Requirements
- Manage and coordinate all project logistics activities, ensuring deadlines are met and objectives align with contract requirements.
- Lead and oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, issuing, transferring, and turn-in activities.
- Plan, organize, and execute the movement of materials and equipment between warehouses, storage facilities, and other locations.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through data entry and tracking in the Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS).
- Evaluate third-party logistics vendors supporting moves, relocations, and surplus operations.
- Drive government-provided vehicles to support deliveries and material transfers.
- Support the setup and breakdown of events, ceremonies, and executive spaces as directed.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, MHE, and Forklift safety protocols.
- Train and supervise logistics personnel to maintain high performance and accountability.
- Respond to customer service requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with internal departments and agency representatives to resolve logistical issues and improve efficiency.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
