Tool Designer - Stamping

Work independently to innovate world-class designs of new progressive stamping tooling and fixtures while striving for high levels of standardization. Assist technical teams with diagnosing and optimizing existing tooling as well as designing for new construction.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in progressive stamping tool design and layout
• Functional familiarity with Die Cast process
• Strong General Machine Tools/Tool Room equipment skills
• Strong CAD skills (3-D tool design in Solidworks preferred)
• Functional familiarity with CAM software
• Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry
