AES Tutor

We are seeking a qualified and experienced tutor to join our team at Cardiff International Study Centre. As an AES Tutor, you will teach English and Study Skills modules to international students and contribute to the development of teaching materials and formative assessment. You will play a key role in empowering students to reach the level they need to progress into university.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Teaching qualification
• Diploma in English language teaching or equivalent
• Master's in related discipline
• Experience of teaching in UK higher or further education and experience of working with international students
• EAP experience for teachers of English
• Ability to develop and update teaching material and preferably experience of working within a Virtual Learning Environment
• Competence in teaching and administrative IT skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail, etc.)
• A student-centred and client-focused approach
• A commitment to continuous professional development
• Strong record-keeping skills
• Flexibility and willingness to work under pressure to deadlines
• Enthusiasm and motivation to be a performance-driven team player
