Data Engineer

We are searching for a Data Engineer to keep our data foundation strong and improve our raw data flows. You will be responsible for loading and storing all data the company produces and that are the basis of our success. You will need to talk to software engineers, to data analysts, and to other business functions. Thus, strong communication skills are definitely an advantage for applying and for working at Studyportals.

Requirements

• 3 or more years of hands-on Data Engineering experience in production cloud environments
• Strong Python (PySpark) and SQL skills with a focus on clean, maintainable code
• Experience with modern data stack tools such as Airflow, Fivetran, dbt, and AWS
• Proven track record building and operating robust, scalable ETL pipelines
• Strong understanding of data modeling, incremental loading and data quality practices
• Having experience with streaming processing is a plus
• Experience optimizing warehouse performance and managing cloud costs
• Analytical mindset with a focus on root-cause thinking and sustainable solutions
• Ownership mentality with the confidence to challenge architectural decisions
• Excellent communicator
• Positive and proactive mindset
• Dedicated and never give up
• Fluent in English
