Teaching Assistant

Gorseland Primary School is seeking a Teaching Assistant for our Early Years classes who has a particular interest in child development and learning through play. The role will involve working with pupils, either one-to-one or in small groups, and will also include supporting the development of children with SEND.

Requirements

• GCSE Grades A–C in English and mathematics, or equivalent
• Recent, relevant experience in working with children
• Childcare qualification desirable
• Ability to work effectively in a team and with a range of stakeholders
• Patience, kindness, with high expectations for children and staff

Benefits

• Generous salary of £24,796 - £25,185 pro rata
• 20 hours per week, 38 weeks per year
• Fixed term contract to 31 August 2026
