Job Description
SugarCRM is seeking a strategic Chief Architect to lead the architectural strategy for a multi-year platform modernization. This role focuses on translating business strategy into actionable technology, building a cloud-native microservices-based platform on AWS, and ensuring scalability and return on investment. The position is hybrid, requiring at least 3 days in the office per week and working remotely for the remaining hours.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
- 12+ years in software architecture or engineering leadership.
- 5+ years managing teams of architects or senior engineers, with at least one major platform modernization.
- Experience with enterprise PHP applications or similar legacy platforms.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud-native design, data modeling, and integration architectures.
- Experience with AWS ecosystem (EKS, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, EventBridge, etc.)
- Experience building or governing architecture frameworks and design review processes.
