Job Description
Summit Orthopedics is seeking a Health Information Specialist to accurately process medical records, fulfill requests, and follow policies. The role is full-time based at our Corporate Office in Woodbury, MN, with a Monday-Friday schedule of 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Requirements
- Accurately process medical records
- Fulfill requests
- Follow all policies regarding patients' permanent files
- Process subpoenas, worker's compensation, and certify patient medical records
- Process radiology requests
- Create and fax invoices for medical records
- Sort, categorize, scan, and index patient medical records
- Maintain current documentation of activities in patients' electronic medical charts
