Substation Crew - All Positions (Foreman/A, B , C Lineman/Operator/Groundman

Sumter Utilities, Inc. seeks Substation Crews for full-time employment. The successful candidates will possess existing experience working together as a construction crew and a shared commitment to safe operations. Requirements

• Ability to travel long distances on short notice, work for extended periods in various locations, and work overtime when required.
• Commitment to safety and compliance.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting site plans, construction prints/drawings, and scopes of work.
• Proficiency in safe operation of heavy equipment such as backhoes, trenchers, mini-excavators, etc.
• Ability to effectively communicate, demonstrate, and enforce requirements and best practices.
• Proficiency in using new technologies (mobile devices/apps) or willingness to learn.
• Ability to efficiently manage all supplies, materials, and equipment necessary to complete assigned work.
• Possession of a valid Class A CDL is HIGHLY PREFERRED.
• Possession of a High School Diploma or Equivalency.
• Ability to coordinate and collaborate effectively with multiple levels within the company, from fellow field professionals to back-office support functions.
