Senior Director, Transportation

The Senior Director of Transportation will lead the national transportation and logistics network for Sunrise Farms, focused on ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and compliant movement of goods across the supply chain from farm to fork. This role requires collaboration with various teams and a strategic focus on optimizing operations and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Develop and execute a national logistics and transportation strategy aligned with Sunrise Farms’ growth, sustainability, and customer service goals
• Oversee all transportation operations, including inbound raw materials, inter-facility transfers, and outbound finished goods across Canada
• Lead, mentor, and develop a national team of transportation managers, dispatchers, and logistics coordinators
• Build strong relationships with external carriers, 3PLs, and logistics partners
• Implement and optimize Transportation Management Systems (TMS), GPS tracking, and route planning tools to improve visibility, tracking, and performance
• Champion initiatives to reduce carbon emissions, improve fuel efficiency, and explore alternative transportation technologies
