Residential Specialist

S:US is seeking a Residential Specialist for their men's shelter in Brooklyn. This role involves ensuring a safe environment, monitoring surveillance, providing support to residents, and serving as a role model. Responsibilities include resident observation, incident documentation, crisis intervention, communication, and participation in staff meetings. The position requires experience with trauma-informed care and working with diverse populations.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Human Services or High Diploma or GED with 3+ years’ social service experience
• F02 certification, and Security license is mandatory, but may be obtained within 6 months if hired
• Proficiency with computer-based programs, typing skills
• Ability to lift up to 15 lbs.
