System Engineering Technician

Sustainable Talent is seeking a System Engineering Technician to support Nvidia's client's Colossus cloud infrastructure team in Santa Clara, CA. This is a W-2 full-time contract, based onsite, focused on maintaining and optimizing the infrastructure, including data centers and labs, and collaborating with infrastructure engineers, developers, and QA teams. The role involves testing, troubleshooting, deployment, and documentation, ensuring reliability and efficiency of the system.

Requirements

• Associate or Bachelor's Degree in a Tech-related Major or 4+ years of experience in a Lab or Datacenter environment.
• 5+ years of experience in data centers or large engineering labs.
• Familiarity with SCMs like GIT/Perforce.
• Proficiency in DCIM (Nautobot, etc.) and scripting (shell, Python, Ansible).
• Working knowledge of protocols/services like TCP/IP, DNS, NFS, SSL, etc.
• Experience with Windows, Linux, and Mac operating systems.
• Hands-on experience with PCBs, GPUs, and system deployments.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative spirit.
• Ability to work well at a distance and perform deployment/cable on servers.
• Proven experience with data center infrastructure, including servers, storage, and networking.
• Basic knowledge of Unix/Windows, Networking and Enterprise Switches & Routers.
• Perseveration to debug hard problems and seek solutions.
• Willingness to go the extra mile.
