Job Description
Symetra is hiring a Director of Engineering to lead a world-class engineering team that drives the technology enabling an end-to-end Stop Loss solution. The Director of Engineering will set priorities, lead the team, and successfully implement the technology that brings value.
Requirements
- 8+ years leading large, cross-functional engineering teams in a remote-first environment.
- Strong background in software engineering, AI, and solutions architecture.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, microservices, serverless, and distributed systems.
- Advocate for CI/CD and modern engineering practices.
- Skilled in data management, systems design, and agile methodologies.
