Nurse Manager RN/LPN

The Unit Manager provides, plans, coordinates, or manages nursing care and health education to nursing home residents on assigned unit throughout all hours of operation. Principal duties and responsibilities include supervising nursing activities, reviewing and implementing nursing procedures, and evaluating staff performance.

Requirements

• Demonstrates knowledge and clinical expertise to effectively supervise nursing activities
• Reviews and implements all nursing procedures and systems
• Assesses and evaluates the performance and competency of staff
• Uses a systematic approach to provide individualized nursing care
• Supervises employees in the department
• Hires, trains, and directs Nursing employees
• Prepares performance evaluations and handles disciplinary action
