Sympower is looking for an Origination Director to accelerate growth in large-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) across the Nordics.

Requirements

10+ years of experience, with 6+ years in energy origination, commercial development, or structured sales and 3+ years of direct experience with grid-scale BESS projects
Proven track record of originating and closing complex, high-value contracts with sophisticated counterparties (utilities, IPPs, infrastructure funds)
Strong understanding of battery storage economics, revenue stacks, and commercial deal structures (including revenue share and floor mechanisms)
Project finance and bankability experience, with the ability to identify and address lender, guarantor, and investor requirements early in the deal process
Solid knowledge of electricity markets; energy trading experience is a strong plus
Excellent commercial judgment: pricing, risk/reward trade-offs, and contract negotiation under ambiguity
Senior presence, high ownership, and a bias toward execution
Strong communication skills in English; Nordic language skills are a plus
