Job Description
Tailscale is seeking an experienced Commercial Solutions Engineer to drive new business with Commercial customers. This role will involve co-owning a book of business, technical discovery, architecture design, and acting as a trusted advisor. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of zero-trust networking, secure connectivity, and IAM integrations to win competitive deals, scale enablement, and influence product direction. This position is ideal for those comfortable with a high-growth environment and a commitment to fair compensation practices.
Requirements
- 4+ years in a customer-facing SE/SA role within networking or security software
- Proven experience co-owning pipeline and influencing quota outcomes with Sales
- Deep understanding of zero-trust networking, secure connectivity, and IAM integrations
- Hands-on architecture experience with AWS, GCP, and/or Azure
- Strong networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewalls) and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication skills
