Job Description
Tala is seeking an experienced Director of Portfolio Risk & Strategy to lead enterprise-level portfolio diagnostics, foresight, and frameworks for sustainable and resilient growth across lending products in 8+ international markets. The role involves defining risk appetite frameworks, conducting portfolio diagnostics, and ensuring efficient underwriting and product decisions with sound governance. The company focuses on unlocking economic power for underserved populations through innovative financial infrastructure solutions.
Requirements
- 10+ years experience in unsecured consumer lending
- Proven track record of developing and implementing effective decisioning frameworks
- Experience creating sound governance structures and influencing partner teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proactive and inquisitive approach
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in SQL and Python
