This role is for a skilled VMware Virtualization L2 professional to resolve technical escalations and maintain managed storage and backup operations. The ideal candidate will have leadership skills, strong concepts of virtualization, and excellent communication abilities. They will also actively identify process improvements and provide expert troubleshooting support to customers and internal teams. The position requires 24/7 availability to manage critical customer escalations.
Requirements
- 4+ years of demonstrated experience in Vmware troubleshooting including service and support on vSAN.
- Expert-level proficiency in VMware vSphere, VMware NSX, and VMware vSAN technologies.
- Strong scripting and automation skills using PowerShell, Python, or VMware PowerCLI.
- Strong experience in Upgrading VMware components and tackling Issues during upgrades.
- Expert-level proficiency in designing customer Workload specs based on the requirements from application.
- Expert-level proficiency on Storage and network protocols supported by VMWare.
- Solid understanding of hardware, network and storage concepts.
- Fundamental knowledge of cloud computing principles and architectures, including private, public, and hybrid cloud models.
