Job Description
We're seeking a Lead Data Engineer to join our team in Salford Quays, Manchester. As a Lead Data Engineer, you will lead by example, contributing to a productive team culture through the adoption of automated CI/CD and testing industry practices. You will work with cross-functional teams to contribute towards TalkTalk data strategy and identify opportunities for improvement across all data engineering projects.
Requirements
- 8+ years' experience in data engineering
- 1+ year of experience as Lead Data Engineer
- Proven expertise with Microsoft Azure
- Strong proficiency in Databricks with hands-on Scala (Spark) and PySpark
- Expertise in Databricks for large-scale data engineering and analytics workloads
- Solid understanding of SQL and relational database concepts
- Experience with CI/CD, Git and modern DevOps practices for data solutions
- Strong problem-solving, communication and client-facing collaboration skills
