Field Service Technician-Network

TDS Telecom is seeking a Field Service Technician-Network to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain telecommunications equipment. This role requires knowledge of telecommunications concepts, proactive customer communication, and the sale of TDS services and products. The position involves working with various cable systems and maintaining facility and equipment. This position is likely to be on-call and require occasional travel.

Requirements

• Assist with on-site installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of telecommunications equipment and systems.
• Perform cable splicing, repair, and testing of telecommunications facilities and systems.
• Maintain DOT requirements for operating vehicles.
• Knowledge of telecommunication products and services.
• Strong understanding of fiber and copper plant installation and troubleshooting.
• Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Reliable communication skills (verbal and written).
