TechInsights is seeking a dynamic Research Scientist Co-op Student to contribute to their team, assisting in the research and development of new technologies. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting research, prototyping solutions, and scaling up to production-ready processes for customers. This is an on-site role at their Ottawa office.

Requirements

• Must be a post-secondary student enrolled in applied physics, engineering physics or related disciplines (masters or undergrad with at least 3 years of program completed).
• Experience with the following will be considered a strong asset: Ion beam/ charged particle physics, Monte Carlo simulation of ion beam interactions with solids, Hands-on experience in a lab environment with high vacuum systems and ion beam sources.
• Strong analytical problem diagnosis skills.
• Ability to independently find, organize and present information clearly and concisely.
• Demonstrated record of learning rapidly and mastering diverse techniques.
• Tenacity, persistence, and an inquisitive mindset.
