We are looking for a Principal Systems Architect to lead cross-disciplinary product definition and system architecture for advanced microelectronic solutions, PCB modules, and subsystem-level designs supporting space, defense, and high-reliability applications. The role combines deep technical expertise with market insight and customer engagement skills, enabling Teledyne to deliver differentiated, high-performance systems that meet the demanding requirements of next-generation missions.
Requirements
- Lead the design, analysis, and definition of system architectures at the integrated circuit (IC), PCB, and subsystem level.
- Apply deep experience in radiation effects on electronics to architect robust systems for space and other harsh environments.
- Define system-level trade studies, partitioning, and performance optimization for advanced mixed-signal, digital, and RF assemblies.
- Ensure designs meet all qualification, reliability, and manufacturability requirements consistent with aerospace-grade standards.
- Drive design-for-reliability and design-for-testability strategies across the product life cycle.
- Lead product definition and strategic product ideation aligned with Teledyne’s technology roadmaps.
- Conduct competitive assessments, market analysis, and pricing strategy development.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to establish business cases and go-to-market strategies.
- Serve as a technical and product ambassador — presenting and promoting solutions to key customers.
- Conduct voice-of-customer (VoC) engagements and define Statements of Work (SoWs).
- Provide technical support and training to customers, sales engineers, and FAEs.
- Partner with engineering and operations to ensure manufacturability and qualification compliance.
- Mentor internal teams in advanced system design and customer communication.
