Job Description
Telesat is seeking a Software Development Specialist to architect, develop, test, and maintain the Telesat Lightspeed System Model application, a state-of-the-art resource allocation and end-to-end communication system analysis tool. The role involves participation in the development lifecycle, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and providing technical leadership within the software development team. This is a key role within a large and growing satellite operator.
Requirements
- 10+ years professional experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with Java, SQL, Python, Bash
- Experience with Spring, Kubernetes, and Helm charts, Terraform, Packer, Ansible, containerization, and secret management.
- Experience with Azure Cloud technologies (Azure Fundamentals, Identity & Access Management, Networking)
- Experience with DevOps technologies (Gitlab CI/CD, Blue/Green deployment)
- Experience within an Agile development methodology
- Fluent in English, written and oral. French is an asset.
