Temple University's Tyler School of Art and Architecture is searching for a Program Director to oversee and advance partnership initiatives with the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA). The role requires a deep understanding of contemporary art and visual culture, leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across institutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Art History, Arts Administration, Curatorial Studies, or a related field.
- Minimum five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in arts administration, higher education, museum programming, or related cultural sector work.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex programs with multiple stakeholders and institutional partners.
- Experience with budget development, monitoring and basic reporting
- Strong understanding of curatorial, educational, and professional practices in the visual arts.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- Master’s degree or terminal degree in a relevant discipline.
- Experience developing or administering university partnerships or collaborations with arts institutions.
- Proven success in program strategy, implementation, and evaluation.
- Familiarity with Philadelphia’s arts, culture, and museum ecosystem.
