Senior Department Administrative Specialist

Temple University's College of Science & Technology is searching for a Senior Department Administrative Specialist. The role provides administrative support to the department's faculty, focusing on tasks such as workshop and conference support, travel arrangements, budget control, and grant proposal preparation.

Requirements

• At least three years of directly related administrative experience in an academic environment working with research-active faculty members and students.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills along with the ability to effectively interact with a diverse group of students, faculty, and staff.
• Proficiency in answering a multi-line telephone and properly handling customer service calls.
• Ability to use initiative and sound judgment to make good decisions.
• Ability to prioritize well and focus on completion of tasks and objectives.
