Job Description
NGLmitu is a leading media and entertainment company seeking a Senior WordPress Developer to contribute to the development, optimization, and long-term stability of its WordPress ecosystem. The role requires deep technical expertise in WordPress architecture, backend development in PHP, and performance-focused implementation across front-end and infrastructure layers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience with PHP
- 4+ years of hands-on WordPress development experience
- Strong experience building and maintaining highly customized WordPress environments
- Experience developing custom WordPress themes and plugins
- Solid understanding of WordPress core, hooks, REST API, and best practices
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript
- Experience with Git-based workflows
- Experience working in Linux environments
- Experience deploying and managing WordPress in AWS environments (EC2, RDS, Elastic Beanstalk, etc.)
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Experience collaborating with distributed, international teams
