Lecturer of Nursing – Part-Time

The Lecturer of Nursing - Part-Time position is a 12-month part-time faculty member responsible for teaching courses in the MSN program, chairing or serving on faculty search committees, and promoting enrollment in programs. The position requires an unencumbered RN license in Texas or a Compact license, current APRN license, and a Master of Nursing Degree with certification and experience in the area of course being taught.

Requirements

• Teach courses in the MSN program
• Chair or serve on faculty search committees
• Promote enrollment in programs
• Maintain active memberships or affiliations with relevant professional organizations
• Student advisement
• Active participant in program and curriculum development, assessment, revision, renewal, and accreditation
• Perform appropriate levels of service within the university, region, and/or with regional/national healthcare entities
• Supervise students in clinical and experiential learning experiences
• Develop, implement, and evaluate curriculum
• Participate in the development, implementation, and enforcement of standards/policies for admission, progression, probation, and dismissal of students
