Job Description
Texas Children’s is seeking a Diabetes Education Spec II PT/PD to provide assessment, goal setting, education and behavioral intervention to patients and caregivers in inpatient and ambulatory settings. The role involves teaching diabetes self-management skills, evaluating patient needs, developing education materials, and implementing patient management protocols. This position requires experience working in a fast-paced environment and will be responsible for case management and ensuring appropriate practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
- CDCES from the Certification Board of Diabetes Care and Education OR BC-ADM from the Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialists required.
- 1 year of specialized diabetes care experience as a licensed dietician or nurse.
- Respiratory fit testing is required for all successful candidates.
