Hitachi Rail is seeking a Testing and Commissioning Engineer to join their team in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for testing and commissioning of railway signalling equipment, as well as coordinating with technical project management and other parties involved in the project.
Requirements
- Proficient in cut-in activities.
- Knowledge of testing Track circuits, point machines, signals and other signalling equipment’s.
- Knowledge of reading of circuits
- Supporting project execution for Testing and Commissioning in field activities.
- Coordination and liaising with the technical project management, the relevant system engineers and other parties involved in testing of project.
- Creation of a testing schedule weekly.
- Liaison with customer during Testing & Commissioning, Migration, Revenue Phase.
- Responsible for the installation and execution of field tests of different signalling equipment’s with the support of installation, T&C engineers and product supplier engineers when the project requires it.
- Responsible for coordinating installation support, T&C activities throughout the execution phase
- Liaise with team and prepare testing schedule to ensure timely execution as per client requirements, manage sub-contractor if needed.
- Ensure no rework is happening during testing activities to avoid any kind of cost overrun on project.
- Work for the project milestones, complete Site acceptance tests like SAT, ITC on time and no customer issue.
- Development of a testing concept according to contract requirements in relation to the given system properties and the budget.
- Undertakes problem solving and troubleshooting as required by commissioning activities
- Plan scheduling and job allocation for activities (to coordinate with Planner)
- Pro-actively manage the internal interfaces with Project Engineering, Installation and Quality and the external interfaces with Partners, third parties and Customer.
- Deploy T&C process on the field and make sure it is applied by the T&C team within the project
- Report to T&C Lead and manager (Urban Rail Signalling, Communications) weekly basis on project progress and team activities.
