2026 Reliability and Statistics Graduate Intern

The Aerospace Corporation is hiring a Graduate-level Reliability and Statistics Intern. The selected candidate will work full-time, on-site at our facility in El Segundo, CA. The intern will apply statistical techniques to derive insight from data related to space systems, perform analysis on system availability and replenishment planning for satellite systems, and develop, evaluate, and update reliability models associated with satellite systems and launch vehicle systems.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled full-time in an accredited college/university program pursuing a Ph.D. degree in statistics, reliability engineering, or other related discipline.
• Availability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks outside of university term and ability to return to a degree program full-time after completion of the internship.
• Completed three years of graduate level work prior to the internship start date.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
