Water Utility Worker - 23984

We are seeking a Water Utility Worker for assignment in Santa Fe, New Mexico to perform a variety of tasks in the operations and maintenance of water distribution, treatment and collection systems on an assigned shift.

Requirements

• Installs, operates and repairs water distribution and collection systems
• Reads and monitors gauges, meters and control panels
• Starts and stops equipment, and operates valves to route and control flow
• Cleans vehicles, heavy equipment, pumps, tools and other stationery and portable equipment
• Performs routine inspection of vehicles and equipment; performs minor maintenance and lubrication of machinery
• Maintains records to accurately reflect pump hours, gallons pumping rate, gallons of chemical applied, kilowatt hours and facility appearance
• Reads and records water meter readings accurately
• Maintains grounds and buildings
• Operates and maintains vehicles, equipment and tools required to load, unload, haul and spread sand, gravel and dirt
• Ability and willingness to work on-call shifts
