Job Description
The Respiratory Therapist IV provides critical and non-critical patient care related to the cardiopulmonary system. Responsibilities include patient monitoring, performing invasive and noninvasive procedures, assessing patient outcomes, and educating patients on treatment options. The role is performed within the scope of practice defined by the healthcare licensing act.
Requirements
- Performs and monitors patient progress.
- Performs invasive and noninvasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Correctly records all information in the patient legal record.
- Educates patients on diseases, wellness, and home care modalities.
- Prepares students for roles as RCPs.
- Adheres to hospital policies and procedures.
