The Programme Manager will support the Government of Bihar, driving engagement with line departments, designing sectoral strategies, and tracking implementation progress on high-priority projects.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in public policy, development consulting, government advisory, think tanks, multilaterals, or philanthropy
- Prior experience engaging with government departments or supporting government-led programs is strongly preferred
- Strong analytical skills, including experience with policy analysis, data interpretation, and preparation of strategic notes and presentations
- Demonstrated project management skills—ability to manage multiple workstreams, timelines, and stakeholders simultaneously
- Comfort working in ambiguous environments and adapting to evolving government priorities
- Strong coordination and stakeholder-management capabilities, including working with senior officials, domain experts, and partners
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English; working knowledge of Hindi is an advantage
- Masters degree in public policy, economics, management, development studies, or a related field preferred
