Certified Utility Arborist (CUA/UTT)

As a Utility Arborist, you will provide line clearing and tree trimming services for major electric utility providers and rail customers, working as an active crew member with supporting ground crew and crew leader, and performing all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for clients.

Requirements

• Certified Arborist or Utility Tree Trimmer designation
• Line clearance certification
• Electric utility tree trimming/climbing experience
• Understanding and implementation of the process of safely ascending tree canopies at all heights
• Minimum 3 years experience
• Strong tree and shrub identification skills
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs
• Valid provincial driver’s license
• Licensed to drive a 5-ton vehicle and air brake endorsement considered an asset
• Ability to work safely as part of a team and possess the willingness to learn and progress
• Preferred background in Forestry, Horticulture or Landscaping
• First Aid certification preferred
