Climber [Arborist]

Apply now to join Davey Tree Expert Co. of Canada, Limited as a Climbing Arborist. As a Climber, you will be responsible for pruning, thinning, and removing deadwood in the canopy of trees at various heights, as well as other duties such as installation of cables and maintenance of tools and equipment.

Requirements

• Understanding and implementation of the process of safely ascending tree canopies at all heights
• Minimum 1 year of climbing experience
• Certified Arborist or willingness to work towards
• Strong tree, knot and shrub identification skills
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs
• Valid provincial driver’s license
• Licensed to drive a 5-ton vehicle and Airbrake endorsement considered an asset
• Preferred background in Forestry, Horticulture or Landscaping
