The CLS Plant Health Care Technician is responsible for fertilization, integrated pest management, and weed and fungi controls for trees, shrubs, and lawns on client properties using various equipment, while providing excellent customer service and safely operating vehicles and equipment.
Requirements
- Apply fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides to client properties using various equipment
- Measure, mix, and prepare chemical solutions for trees, shrubs, and lawns
- Follow work order specifications and maintain proper documentation, including pesticide labels and Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
- Inspect worksites for underground utilities and installations, and set up traffic control and vehicle safety measures
- Diagnose plant diseases and determine appropriate treatments
- Operate and maintain sprayer equipment, including loading materials, filling tanks, and ensuring machinery efficiency
- Adhere to safety regulations, use safety equipment, and safely handle materials
- Perform site clean-up and maintenance tasks
- Communicate with clients about diagnoses and treatments
- Keep daily application records and time reports
