Lead Design Engineer

Lead Design Engineer role at Dyson, collaborating with internal teams and ODM/JDM partners to deliver mechanical designs and product integration. Key responsibilities include planning and reporting, requirement management, technical management, build evaluation, test evaluation, design maturity assessment, and more.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent
• Strong knowledge and application of Systems Engineering, Requirements Management, and Risk Management in product development
• Strong understanding of product development methodology
• Established track record of developing robust engineering solutions from concept to market launch
• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing and assembly techniques for plastic injection molding, metal stamping, die-casting, and rubber parts
• Practical knowledge of 3D CAD, PLM systems, and analysis packages
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities using a variety of methodologies
• Strong leadership abilities with a track record of influencing others to successfully deliver results on time
• Excellent communication skills with stakeholders at all levels, both written and verbal, in English and Chinese
