Senior Tax Accountant

The Farmer’s Dog is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Tax Accountant to manage the full lifecycle of tax function, from monthly close to filing, including corporate income tax, sales tax, and gross receipts taxes. The role requires strong analytical skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a candidate comfortable in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. TFD prioritizes customer needs and operates as a team with individuals focused on impact rather than traditional processes.

Requirements

• 4+ years of progressive experience in corporate tax, preferably in a public accounting firm or a large corporate tax department.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA certification is highly preferred).
• Strong understanding of income tax accounting principles (ASC 740), and experience with both direct and indirect taxes at the federal, state and local levels.
• Proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets (Netsuite experience is a plus!).
• Strong collaboration and analytical skills.
• Data-driven with strong analytical skills and ability to navigate large data sets.
• Detail-oriented and proactive.
• Excellent communication skills.
