We are hiring in New York City! Join us at Single Stop for an exciting career as a Tax Preparer.
Requirements
- Certified at the Advanced level on IRS Link and Learn
- Attend in-person TaxSlayer tax preparation software training provided by Single Stop
- Knowledge of Tax law and forms 1040, 1040A, and 1040EZ
- Basic computer skills for inputting tax return data into the tax preparation software
- Ability to communicate effectively, including the ability to interview clients about personal, and financial matters and communicate tax issues to clients in a non-threatening manner
- Ability to effectively research tax issues, using the materials available at the site
- Ability to deal with the public in a helpful and supportive manner
- Friendly, dependable, and flexible, and detail-oriented
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a definite plus
