The Translations Manager for Bible Lesson Products manages the translation and editorial preparation of all non-English editions of the Christian Science Quarterly, ensuring the faithful rendering of the Bible Lessons for audiences around the world.
Requirements
- Manages the translation of nine non-English Quarterlies published by CSPS
- Manages translation process, team structure, and personnel to ensure harmonious, accurate, and punctual translation activity
- Evaluates and processes translation solutions
- Works with the Proof Room and Design services to harmonize translation and production work
- Engages with, evaluates, and proposes new translators
- Develops and maintains BLP translator guidelines and training materials
- Provide administrative and logistical support related to translations
- Participates in BLP translation-related activities, communications, and strategy development
- Fosters collaboration and communication with other departments on translation related goals and activities
- Works with translators and the interdepartmental Translations Group to maintain language-specific standards in orthography and typography
- Works with other departments to establish translation standards and methodologies
