Service Technician PDL Ft McMurray

We are currently looking for a full-time Service Technician to join our service department in Fort McMurray, Alberta. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of practical experience in a mechanical shop environment and a completion of a 2-year Mechanical Engineering diploma program. The role involves inspecting, testing, and repairing drivelines, as well as working as part of a team to achieve an efficient and productive working environment.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of practical experience in a mechanical shop environment within the automotive, heavy truck, or industrial sectors
• Completion of a 2-year Mechanical Engineering diploma program, or an equivalent credential
• At least 3 years of demonstrated proficiency in manual lathe operations and welding
• Ability to accurately use measuring tools (Vernier caliper, dial indicator & tape measure)
• Capable of performing basic mathematical calculations including fractions
• Capacity to read & understand work orders, task procedures and follow technical instructions
• Strong problem solving skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Strong organizational skills with ability to meet deadlines
• Confident and positive demeanor
