The Iowa Clinic is looking for a BI Developer to lead and support reporting projects, building high-impact business intelligence dashboards and reports, and completing strategic analytics projects.
Requirements
- Gather requirements, translate business needs into technical specifications, and validate outputs with stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
- Experience supporting cross-functional teams such as Finance, Operations, Clinical, and Billing.
- Ability to simplify complex data concepts for non-technical audiences.
- Understanding of dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas, fact/dimension tables.
- Advanced SQL proficiency (CTEs, window functions, performance tuning).
- Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
- Familiarity with stored procedures, ETL frameworks, and query optimization.
- Proficiency with business intelligence tools including Tableau, Power BI or related tools
- Accuracy and attention to detail including reconciliation and validation, ability to prioritize and multitask while meeting deadlines
