Job Description
The Nurse Navigator in Hematology/Oncology at The Iowa Clinic is a clinical resource, advocate, and coordinator for patients diagnosed with blood disorders and cancer. This role is central to navigating the complex cancer care continuum, ensuring patients have access to education, treatment, support, and coordinated care. Requirements
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current RN license to practice nursing in the State of Iowa
- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) or willingness to obtain within 12 months
- Certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
- State of Iowa Mandatory Reporter Certification (within 60 days of hire)
- Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience in oncology and/or hematology
- Previous experience in case management, patient education, or care coordination helpful
