Surveyor - Hospital Nurse (Psych)

We are seeking an Acute Care Registered Nurse with Leadership experience in quality, accreditation, and/or regulations to survey health care organizations throughout the United States. The RN (Psychiatric) Field Representative will apply systems analysis skills and inductive reasoning skills to determine health care organizations' degree of compliance with applicable standards and functionality of care delivery systems.

Requirements

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing
• Master's degree in an appropriate discipline
• Current professional license in nursing
• CPHQ certification (Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality) through National Association for Healthcare Quality (NAHQ)
• 5 years of recent health care experience
• 3 years of direct clinical experience in psychiatric hospitals/facilities
• 2 years of accreditation or certification leadership or senior management experience
• Contemporary knowledge of and experience in health care operations, clinical practice, use of performance improvement methods to assess organizational performance, and current research and trends relative to health care practices
• Knowledge of Joint Commission standards with direct involvement in two Joint Commission surveys
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal, interviewing, teamwork, communication, and organizational skills
