LRE Aide

A LRE Aide provides support to students with disabilities in the regular education environment, assisting with classroom activities and implementing accommodations and modifications based on the student's IEP. The role involves collaborating with general and special education teachers to foster student independence and social acceptance. This is a full-time position requiring a cooperative relationship with the special education teachers.

Requirements

• Must meet No Child Left Behind requirements for para-professionals
• Associate’s (or higher) degree, 60 college credits, or passing scores on a state-approved assessment demonstrating reading, writing, and mathematical instruction
• Basic reading, writing, and communication skills
• Proficiency in student and parent relations
• Demonstrated experience in student and parent relations
