Job Description
We are seeking a Tool & Die Maker III for our first shift position. Our schedule is Monday through Friday, 10-hour days starting at 6:00 am until 4:00 pm. We provide an excellent hourly rate and phenomenal benefits! Tool & Die Journeyman papers not required, but a willingness to obtain the Journeyman Certification is a plus!
Requirements
- Set up and operate machines to fabricate metal parts, applying knowledge of machine shop theory and procedures, shop mathematics and layout techniques.
- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures, regulations, and processes and identifies opportunities for improvement
- Fabricate parts using standard machinist equipment including lathe, grinders and drill presses.
- Read blueprints, sketches, drawings to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, the sequence of operations and setup requirements.
- Dismantle defective machines/equipment and tooling. Diagnose repair needs and repair, install new or rebuilt parts. Reassemble, setup and test machines via trial run to verify the accuracy of machine settings
- Notify supervisor of any obstacles in productivity, maintenance issues, etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned
