Accountant

A local government agency is seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Temporary Accountant to support key financial operations across its Multifamily and Single-Family housing programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience
• 5–7 years of experience in accounting and/or finance
• Accounting coursework or equivalent practical experience
• Strong data analysis and quantitative skills
• Exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and analytical capabilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Ability to understand and follow complex financial flows related to multifamily bond, mortgage, and investment transactions
• Ability to work proactively under variable deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
• Commitment to high ethical standards, integrity, and quality
• Flexibility to perform other duties as assigned
