A local government agency is seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Temporary Accountant to support key financial operations across its Multifamily and Single-Family housing programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience
- 5–7 years of experience in accounting and/or finance
- Accounting coursework or equivalent practical experience
- Strong data analysis and quantitative skills
- Exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and analytical capabilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Ability to understand and follow complex financial flows related to multifamily bond, mortgage, and investment transactions
- Ability to work proactively under variable deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Commitment to high ethical standards, integrity, and quality
- Flexibility to perform other duties as assigned
