Job Description
The New York Times is seeking a Senior Video Editor to help bring audio portfolio to mobile, social and digital audiences through horizontal video podcasts and vertical video clips. The role involves managing the editing of individual shows as well as clips for a range of shows, working with the podcast video team and other collaborators to lead edits on podcast video episodes, and bringing a digital-first mindset to editing on-platform and for social media.
Requirements
- 8+ years of multimedia storytelling, video editing and production experience at a major video news outlet or production company
- Strong digital video editing background
- Must have a strong portfolio of digital work, including social media clips
- Experience creating original videos that incorporate audio, video, still images, graphics and text
- Expertise in Adobe Premiere and CS
