Job Description
The Summer Intern, Financial Accounting & Reporting position is an opportunity to gain real-world experience in accounting practices and work in the Port Authority’s Financial Accounting and Reporting (FAR) Division. Responsibilities include preparation of cash and insurance reconciliations, review of debt transactions and schedules, and analysis of grants from federal and state agencies.
Requirements
- Enrollment at a college or university at the time of the internship
- Major in Accounting or related discipline
- Knowledge of accounting principles
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Knowledge of accounting systems including SAP (desired)
- Knowledge of governmental accounting (desired)
