Academic Hospitalist – Internal Medicine Residency Program

The organization is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Internal Medicine Physician to join its dynamic Academic Hospitalist Team supporting the Internal Medicine Residency Program in Dothan, AL. This is a full-time, hospital-employed position offering a rewarding blend of clinical care, resident teaching, and academic leadership within a collaborative, patient-centered environment.

Requirements

• Provide high-quality inpatient care to hospitalized patients within a teaching service.
• Supervise, mentor, and educate internal medicine residents and medical students in both clinical and didactic settings.
• Participate in curriculum development, scholarly activities, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, evidence-based care.
• Engage in clinical documentation and performance improvement to optimize patient outcomes.
• Contribute to academic conferences, grand rounds, and faculty development activities.
