Occupational Therapist (TFT 1.0 FTE)

This occupational therapy position at The Royal involves providing vocational assessment and rehabilitation planning, individual and group treatment, interdisciplinary collaboration, and mentorship. The role focuses on client recovery, community transition, and adherence to hospital and College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario standards. The position requires strong communication, organizational skills, and clinical judgment.

Requirements

• Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MSc (OT)) or equivalent (required)
• Minimum of 3 years Occupational Therapy experience (adults with severe mental illness preferred)
• Member of the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
• Experience working with adult psychiatric population (preferred)
• Experience working with clients in the community (preferred)
• Experience in motivational interviewing and CBT (asset)
• Membership in CAOT and OSOT (preferred)
• Experience developing and leading psycho-educational and therapeutic groups (essential)
• Experience with recovery-based programs (preferred)
• Excellent communication skills, organizational ability, and goal-setting skills
• Knowledge of community resources and legislation
